Sunny is a 2023 second freshener and continues to prove herself by milking a half gallon a day consistently. She has a beautiful, snugly attached rear udder that is high and wide, nice medial line, and a smoothly blended fore udder. Her teats are the perfect size for hand milking with a buttery soft texture and good size orifices. Milk pours out in nice long streams, and she milks out quickly and easily.
Although she is not a big doe for being a purebred Nubian (she doesn't stand much taller than our full grown Mini-Nubian does) she is one of our favorite does on the farm and as such as we have retained her buckling from this year and plan to use him to incorporate Sunny's genetics throughout our Mini Nubian herd.

Jazzy is our first home bred Nubian doeling. She freshened this year with a single buckling. Her udder is high and wide with great attachment in the rear and a nice medial line while her fore udder is smooth and seamless. Her teats are nicely placed and a little forward with soft texture and big orifices that make hand milking her very easy and enjoyable. She milks out quickly and with no difficulty. For being a first freshener, she is very quiet and well-mannered on the milk stand. It took her a couple days to figure out how to jump up onto the stand, but once that was learned she took to it like a natural. Overall, we are very pleased with this doe's performance thus far, and she has made large improvements over her dam in capacity and udder attachment.
